Suicide attack kills deputy intelligence chief in E Afghanistan

A suicide bomber blew himself up in eastern Afghan province of Laghman Wednesday, leaving dozens of people dead and injured, mostly civilians, an official said.

“The incident occurred inside a mosque when Deputy to National Security Directorate (NSD) Abdullah Laghmani was talking to a gathering of elders on the situation in Laghman province,” the source told Xinhua but declined to be identified.
